Churchill Foundation supports the Anne Robson Trust with £2,000 donation

End of life charity the Anne Robson Trust has received a funding boost thanks to a £2,000 donation from the Churchill Foundation.

The Hertfordshire-based charity was put forward for a donation through the Churchill Foundation’s Small Grants programme, which provides an opportunity for Colleagues from across the Churchill Group to nominate causes that mean a lot to them for potential one-off grants of up to £2,000.

The Anne Robson Trust is dedicated to supporting people who are facing the end of their life, and those who are dear to them. They do this by supporting hospitals to set up and run teams of volunteers to provide bedside companionship to patients in their final days and hours, and giving emotional support to the patients’ visitors, and they run a telephone support service to provide listening and compassion to people who are facing the end of life. The charity was put forward by Churchill’s Regional Managing Director James Barnes, who has a close connection with the work it does.

The Trust’s Fundraising Manager Jason Hodges joined Churchill Foundation Manager Nicola Wallace-Walton for a special presentation at Churchill’s Yates Lodge development in Farnborough on Tuesday 7th March, along with Churchill Colleagues and apartment Owners.

Jason said: “We are delighted to have received this donation which will ensure that we can continue to deliver vital support to those who need it.”

Nicola added: “We’re delighted to be able to award this donation to the Anne Robson Trust to support the excellent work they do. We believe strongly in giving something back to the communities where we work, and our Small Grants programme was introduced to help us support smaller charities like this that mean a lot to our Colleagues and Owners, and for whom the extra funding can make a real difference.
