Churchill Foundation’s 10th Anniversary Clay Pigeon Shoot raises over £366,000

The Churchill Foundation raised an astonishing grand total of £366,218 at its 10th Anniversary Clay Pigeon Shooting Challenge and charity auction this summer – the highest sum ever raised at a Churchill Foundation event!

The incredibly successful day took place in the stunning surroundings of film director Guy Ritchie’s Ashcombe Estate in Dorset on 11th June 2025. Around 150 guests were there and contributed generously to raise funds for the Foundation to continue its work supporting a wide range of charities.

The event was supported by a number of generous business partners including headline sponsors Moore Barlow LLP and SeaLegs International Ltd. Other sponsors included Crow and Jester, HR Owen PLC, and Lay & Wheeler Trading. As well as a challenging day of shooting, guests were able to enjoy spa treatments, wine tasting, live music and fine food, followed by a highly entertaining charity auction with an array of sensational prizes.

The event was also attended by representatives from the Foundation’s new charity partner Hourglass Safer Ageing, the only UK-wide charity dedicated to calling time on the harm, abuse and exploitation of older people.

The top prize of the day went to Spencer McCarthy’s team “On the Pull”, with their trophy presented by Moore Barlow’s Managing Partner Edward Whittington.

Spencer McCarthy, Churchill’s Chairman & CEO and a Trustee of the Churchill Foundation, said:

“The Churchill Foundation aims to transform people’s lives by supporting our new charity partner Hourglass, as well as a wide range of charities of all sizes to give something back to the communities where we operate. The Foundation has raised over £3 million pounds to date, and our Shooting Challenge plays a big part in that. We’re delighted that the event was such a success this year to mark the Foundation’s 10th anniversary, and the money it’s generated will make a huge difference to so many people up and down the country.”

Set up in 2015, the Churchill Foundation enables Churchill to support the many local communities where it works, and give to a wide range of charities based on three core areas: the relief of sickness, disease and human suffering; the promotion of health amongst the elderly; and the support and wellbeing of the young.
